Outlook 2007 blinking on DVI 24" LCD monitor
Ever since I attached my new Samsung 24" monitor, Outlook 2007 is almost impossible to use. The entire screed blinks between normal and pure black. All other applications and web browsing work perfectly. Only Outlook blinks. I've searched everywhere for a solution but haven't seen anyone else complainingabout the same thing. I downloaded new monitor drivers from Samsung and also new drivers form ATI for my DVI card -- all to no effect. Has anyone else seen this issue? I'm running Vista Business Edition. Thanks.

I would contact samsung. This only happens with Outlook? No other applications? Are you using "Aero" in Vista?

Hi, I suspect theres something conflict with Samsung monitor driver. Please try to open outlook in Safe Mode by pressing CTRL while you start the program to check whether the error will occur. If no, then please try to find the add-in which could be the cause.(Note: Please navigate to Tools-Options-Other-Advanced Options-Add-In Manager to check whether this add-in has been installed.) Besides, please try to run clean boot to disable third party service and then restart outlook. 1) Run MSCONFIG.EXE 2) In the Services tab, click "Hide All Microsoft Services" and click "Disable All". 3) In the Startup tab, click "Disable All". Click OK. (This will temporarily prevent third-party programs from running automatically during start-up.) 4) Restart the computer. If the problem still exists, then I recommend you to post the issue in Microsoft Vista forum to get better help. Microsoft Vista Forum http://forums.microsoft.com/TechNet/default.aspx?ForumGroupID=204&SiteID=17 Hope it helps. Xiu
